It’s finally here: Netflix now has live soccer. Announced earlier this year, Christmas Day marks the start of the NFL’s expansion to the popular streaming service, with two opener games this year: the Chiefs and Steelers kicking off at 1 p.m. ET, followed by the Ravens and the Texans in the present day. Game 2 at 4:30pm ET.

The addition of live football games is Netflix’s latest push into live content and the first major event since its grueling fight between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson.

Both contests will be streamed worldwide on Netflix, though they will also be available on phones and tablets for those who subscribe to NFL Plus. If you live in one of the teams’ local markets, you can also catch the action on your local CBS station or even on Paramount Plus (if you have the “with Showtime” option).

So if you’re in Kansas City or Pittsburgh, you won’t need to open Netflix to see if you already have cable, satellite, an antenna, or a live tv broadcast service that CBS has. Here is everything you need to know.

Chiefs vs Steelers game: When and where?

This Week 17 NFL matchup, the Steelers will host the top seed 1 p.m. ET (10 a.m. PT) on Wednesday, December 25. The game will take place at Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh, home of the Steelers. It will stream in the US and worldwide on Netflix.

Do I need a special Netflix plan to watch Christmas Day NFL games?

Any Netflix plan should work to watch both Christmas Day NFL games as well as halftime shows. This includes the cheapest standard Netflix option with ads that costs $7 per month.

Netflix will be home to two Christmas Day NFL games this season. The games will be watchable regardless of the Netflix plan you have, including the company’s standard, ad-cheap $7 per month option.

How to watch Chiefs vs Steelers in USA

This week’s Chiefs-Steelers game will also stream on Netflix in the US and worldwide, but it will also stream on CBS if you’re in one of the teams’ local markets and don’t have Netflix.

This means those with cable, satellite, antenna or live television streaming service that carries a local CBS affiliate in Kansas City or Pittsburgh will be able to watch a broadcast of the game and the halftime show without having to use Netflix.

The game will also be available in Kansas City and Pittsburgh for those who have a Paramount Plus account with the Showtime account, though at $13 a month that option is more expensive than Netflix’s cheapest plan. Paramount Plus, however, offers a free trial.

The more expensive “with Showtime” tier of Paramount Plus includes live CBS broadcasts, which will work to follow this Netflix football game being broadcast on CBS stations in Kansas City and Pittsburgh.

CBS is available on most major streaming services, namely YouTube TV, Hulu Plus Live TV, DirecTV Stream, and Fubo, though they all cost a lot more than Paramount Plus or Netflix. That said, these services also have many live channels, including football streaming channels like NBC, ABC, Fox and ESPN. See our live TV streaming services guide for details.

If you live in an area where the game is being broadcast, an aerial connected to your TV provides another option for CBS. The best part about antennas is that there are no streaming or monthly fees required, although you’ll need to make sure you have good reception.
